NBCC Italy is a branch-office of EBCC, the European Board for Certified Counselors. NBCC Italy undertakes and supports actions to promote, develop and professionalize counseling in Italy and in Europe in collaboration with the other NBCC branch-offices and affiliates.

As with all NBCC International branch offices, NBCC Italia stands ready to work with academic institutions, professional organizations, government agencies, nongovernmental organizations and private enterprises to help develop the counseling profession and its support system in Italy.

Blending the universally accepted concepts of counseling with national, cultural, social, political and economic factors, NBCC Italia substain the creation of education/training programs for counselors and the promotion of counseling services in the community.

Is involved in creating and implementing a system of ethical and quality norms and standards at a national level for counseling activities – standards also promoted within specific certification programs.
